The TrimFlex system – and what it can do for you

TrimFlex accommodates the movement between the staircase string and the wall. Two closely fitting channels – one designed to house the plasterboard (12.5mm) and plaster finish, the other fitting into the top edge of the string, via a 2.5mm x 15mm groove and the tongue on the lower channel, allow up to 20 mm of vertical movement, whilst providing lateral support to the plasterboard.

What that means to the house builder is:

  • No more site management time lost to this problem – ever. Leaves the site manager more time to concentrate on his real job.
  • No more skilled trades time – and costs – incurred in accessing and rectifying it.
  • Reduces the risk of customer care issues becoming out of proportion to their real origins – sometimes stopping them cropping up altogether.
  • A real advantage to your sales staff: completely reverses the old situation where cracking has already started, in show homes. Once installed, sales staff can actually draw attention to the former problem area, and how it need never affect your houses.
  • From that moment on, as prospective customers are viewing your competitor’s houses, they won’t be able to help looking for the very problem your sales person has alerted them to. That advantage in itself gives your sales staff a real confidence boost.
  • Provides a perfectly parallel finish to wall/string joint. Immediately obvious, when viewed from the hallway.
  • Even copes with tight situations where the string ends up too close to the wall – formerly causing difficulty in establishing a line to end the finish. Can even cope with situations where the board has to finish in front of the string (eg. wall out of plumb, in renovation work).
  • The front face of TrimFlex is actually a replaceable fascia. Presently produced in white, this will soon be available in wood-grain & chrome and brass metallic effects.
  • Speeds up decoration – no cutting in.
  • Protective film keeps facia white until cleaners remove prior to handover.
  • Finishes virtually flush with the wall surface...
